USS Midway in San Diego
Found my dream museum - USS Midway Aircraft Carrier. This is a Desert Storm carrier retired in 1992. The tour was superb and the flight deck massive. There are loads of aircraft too. This cost 80 million dollars to build in 1943 (40% of work done by women since men at war). Aircraft carriers today cost 30 billion dollars!
There are two other operational aircraft carriers here: Theodore Roosevelt and Carl Vinson. Good views of them from here.
